Mathematical model of brain tumour growth with drug resistance

چکیده
Brain tumours are masses of abnormal cells that can grow in an uncontrolled way the brain. There different types malignant brain tumours. Gliomas from glial and identified as astrocytoma, oligodendroglioma, ependymoma. We study a mathematical model describes glia-neuron interaction, glioma, chemotherapeutic agent. In this work, we consider drug sensitive resistant glioma cells. show continuous pulsed chemotherapy kill with minimal loss neurons.

A mathematical model for antimalarial drug resistance.
We formulate and analyze a mathematical model for malaria with treatment and the well-known three levels of resistance in humans. The model incorporates both sensitive and resistant strains of the parasites. Analytical results reveal that the model exhibits the phenomenon of backward bifurcation (co-existence of a stable disease-free equilibrium with a stable endemic equilibrium), an epidemiolo...
متن کاملA Mathematical Model of Vascular Tumour Growth and Invasion
In this paper, we develop a model of the vascularization and subsequent growth of a solid spherical tumour. The key elements that are encapsulated in this model are the development of a central necrotic core due to the collapse of blood vessels at the centre of the tumour and a peak of tumour cells advancing towards the main blood vessels together with the regression of newly{formed capillaries...
متن کاملA Multiscale Mathematical Model of Tumour Invasive Growth.
Known as one of the hallmarks of cancer (Hanahan and Weinberg in Cell 100:57-70, 2000) cancer cell invasion of human body tissue is a complicated spatio-temporal multiscale process which enables a localised solid tumour to transform into a systemic, metastatic and fatal disease. This process explores and takes advantage of the reciprocal relation that solid tumours establish with the extracellu...
متن کاملOxygen-Driven Tumour Growth Model: A Pathology-Relevant Mathematical Approach
Xenografts--as simplified animal models of cancer-differ substantially in vasculature and stromal architecture when compared to clinical tumours. This makes mathematical model-based predictions of clinical outcome challenging. Our objective is to further understand differences in tumour progression and physiology between animal models and the clinic. To achieve that, we propose a mathematical m...
متن کاملA new mathematical model for avascular tumour growth.
The early development of solid tumours has been extensively studied, both experimentally via the multicellular spheroid assay, and theoretically using mathematical modelling. The vast majority of previous models apply specifically to multicell spheroids, which have a characteristic structure of a proliferating rim and a necrotic core, separated by a band of quiescent cells. Many previous models...
